Even the best of architects need some inspiration.  Naturally we take the local surroundings into context when creating new homes but the client brief is the most important starting point, after all it is you that will be ultimately living in the home.  

The increasing global connectivity and popularity of social media sites like Pinterest and Instagram give a true picture of how world styles and attitudes are changing, about how we live our lives, about what we want from our family home and about how it should look.

Give your home some kerb appeal with a selection of entrances from porches to new front doors, rain canopies to porticos.

The inside can be just as important to give you a welcome home or wow your guests!

High & Vaulted Ceilings

If your looking to create a feeling of space get some inspiration for double-height rooms with open voids, or create vaulted ceilings with rooflights.

Kitchens

From its humble origins, the kitchen is now the heart of the home and the most popular reason to extend homes in the UK.  We now want a family area that incorporates a multitude of functions, appliance types and seating for larger gatherings.  We love the Australian styles with letterbox windows below wall units, combinations of colours and textures and the Australian “Butlers Pantry” feature.

Wardrobes

Creating space for clothes, bags and all those shoes!  The walk-in-wardrobe is now top of many wishlists.  Whether turning a spare bedroom into a haven for the shoeaholic, ending the floordrobe or creating from scratch, get it organised with built in or adjustable units.

Loft Conversions

The second most popular extension can give you ample space for additional bedrooms and en suites if designed correctly.  Using Velux Cabrios, multiple skylights and built in furniture can make a huge difference to the space.
